technical execution

migration

The “UFC Countdown” operation ran out of the UFC’s office in Burbank, CA. In 2019, the UFC had plans to close the Burbank office and move all operations to its headquarters in Las Vegas, NV. This required me to lead a seismic physical shift of post-production hardware, the recruitment of new team members to move to Las Vegas, and the integration of workflows with operations at the Las Vegas office, all while continuing to deliver shows on schedule for ESPN.

workflow

Producing long-form content at a rapid pace creates a lot of room for error, so the processes need to be strong. I’m always seeking more efficient alternatives that mitigate human error when Showrunning and delivering for clients and networks. When I oversaw the migration of operations from Burbank, CA to UFC HQ in Las Vegas, NV, I explored integrations with pre-existing workflows, and implemented procedures that the UFC’s production department still utilizes today.

delivery

At just 24 years of age, I was made responsible for coordinating the delivery a weekly TV program for FOX (first Fuel TV, then FOX Sports 1), and was forced to quickly learn about the importance of attention to detail in the QC & delivery processes. Back then, we delivered the masters on a physical D5 tape before moving to a digital 5.1 upload, and various iterations from there. Since then, I’ve delivered hundreds of hours of content to numerous networks and streaming services, each with their own specific delivery requirements.
